RSinteract Deployment
Installation requirements
RSinteract is installed directly on a server running SQL Server 2000 or 2005 with the Reporting Services option installed.
Note: A SQL Server 2000 installation requires Reporting Services SP2 to be installed.
Small server
footprint
The installation is very light – as
RSinteract uses Reporting Service’s own data store for
all metadata and report storage, there are no separate
database installs other than Microsoft’s standard sample
Adventure Works database (optional) and cube.
There are no client installs or downloads required. Once the server install has been carried out (5 minutes average install time), providing SQL Server and Reporting Services are already set up, it is possible to start working with the product to build, deploy and interact with reports immediately.
